can you overdose on fat burning pills?
Question by Karol the Polak: can you overdose on fat burning pills?
my GF’s friend is fat, she is jealous of almost all girls under 130 pounds including my GF. She was talking to my GF today and I overheard them saying something about overdosing on fat burners… like some green tea supplement or something like that… can you really lose weight if you do that?

Fat burners tend to contain a lot of caffeine. Although it’s hard to really overdose on it, taking too much of it over a long period of time is very bad for your heart.

Actually it is relatively easy to OD on diet pills. Some have nearly 200mg of caffeine in two pills. The maximum suggested dose is 300-400mg a day (not in one sitting mind you!). So if you decide to take, say 3 times that amount, you’d be overdosing. Caffeine is very bad for your heart, so you would get a fast and possibly irregular heart rate which can turn bad very quickly. Likely though, with most overdoses, you’re body will realize what has happened and you’ll vomit. A lot of vomiting and then dry heaving when everything in your stomach is gone. There’s a whole host of other problem associated with caffeine overdose. You can look it up further through a simple internet search.
Overdosing on diet pills will not make you lose weight more quickly, it will just make you sick and land up in the ER. In addition, diet pills alone do not make you lose weight. I could go on to explaining why but I’ll leave you with a simple thought: If diet pills truly worked why does obesity still exist?
